Backflow Applications

The two common Backflow terms:

Containment- Backflow prevention installed for the purpose of protecting the public water supply. These devices are typically installed within 50 ft of the water meter.

Isolation- Backflow preventers installed within your property to protect the building occupants. These devices are installed within your building to stop the reverse flow of water from one system to another such as stagnant sprinkler water siphoned into domestic potable supplies through pressure changes.
