Emergency Responder Radio Booster System:
A system designed to amplify external radio signals and distribute them to all areas within a building so emergency personnel (fire fighters, EMT’s) can communicate to each other and dispatchers. Typically consists of an outdoor (Doner) antenna, amplifier and interior distribution antennas. The system will need to be supervised by the building fire alarm system or a designated communicator.
We are licensed by the FCC for Radio Transmissions and can provide turn key systems from start to finish.
Why do I need this system?
On new construction projects- modern energy efficient building materials may inhibit radio signals from reaching the interior of the structure preventing responders from communicating on their 2 way radio systems. Our team as well as your local fire official can test your building and see if they have radio coverage and verify if you need a booster system.
On existing buildings- Renovation or construction work may require your building to be brought up to current fire codes or as areas are built up my obstruct critical responder communicaitons.
